I love to make things with my hands (clothes) and my body (dance) and my mind (thoughts). My creative practice is rooted in play and experimentation and the things I create are only sometimes similar to my original ideas.
The entire process is fun to me: I thrift for clothing, then I have an idea, then I sew the idea. I believe that constraints actually enhance our capacity for creativity (thank you to my college professor Michael Dalebout for changing my life with this understanding of play and creativity), so I enjoy working with stains or rips or logos.
